Rieselle Saure joins Kinske to trace a path through school, work, gaming, dance, technology, and Web3 communities. She describes how joining Filipino developer spaces helped her learn from others and eventually become someone who could welcome and mentor newer members. Along the way, her computer-science background led to support, data-analysis, software-testing, and QA work, while community work helped her practice hosting and public speaking.
The conversation returns to the value of participation: newcomers can bring knowledge that experienced members lack, mentors should check whether their guidance actually helps, and a healthy community should make room for everyone to advance. Rieselle also discusses balancing several projects, staying curious as technology changes, using AI as a tool, and why she now thinks of herself as a builder.

Rieselle "Rie" Saure is a Filipino community builder and technology educator with a computer-science background and experience in support, data analysis, software testing, and quality assurance. Her path into community work began as a participant in Filipino developer spaces before she began mentoring, hosting, and speaking for others.
Her work spans technology and Web3 communities, where she focuses on making learning accessible and giving members room to participate. In her conversation with Kinske, she recalls joining the Filipino Web Development Peers Discord without knowing anyone, learning through its conversations, and eventually becoming someone newer members could approach. She describes mentorship as a two-way responsibility: a mentor should check whether people actually learned, and a community should help its members advance together.
Rieselle also discusses the practice behind public speaking, the value of support and QA skills, continued learning as technology changes, and her belief that AI should be a tool people learn to use. Her phrase "Your Presence Matters" reflects the community she wants to build: one where another person's contribution is seen rather than left behind.
